Overview

I created a cinematic product video and companion social teaser to highlight Defilade’s Interlocking Shields — a line of impact- and fire-resistant public order shields designed for riot control and tactical operations. The goal was to present the shields in a modern, cinematic style that communicated strength, protection, and versatility across Defilade’s product lineup.

Challenge

The challenge was to create a visually powerful yet technically accurate piece that showcased the shields’ modular interlocking design, impact resistance, and overall build quality. The final videos needed to appeal to law enforcement and military procurement teams, balancing visual storytelling with product precision.

Solution

I developed a two-part content package to support both digital and social campaigns:

  • Main Product Video – a cinematic, feature-focused video designed for YouTube and web use.
  • Social Media Teaser – a shorter, high-energy edit optimized for platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram to quickly capture attention.
  • Both versions emphasized the interlocking capability, lightweight durability, and fire-resistant protection that define Defilade’s shield lineup.

Execution

I led the editing, color correction, and creative direction, using DaVinci Resolve to achieve a balanced, high-contrast color grade that accentuated the product’s industrial materials and operational setting. Careful use of light, pacing, and music helped convey a sense of authority and reliability consistent with Defilade’s brand identity.
